The 81mm mortar was a formidable weapon in German hands. The rapid targeting and accurate fire of these weapons when employed by German forces brought forth deadly results. These mortars were issued to the heavy weapons companies under battalion control.

The Sig 33 150mm infantry gun was issued to Infantry Gun Companies under the command of Grenadier Regiments . It was a fairly short range weapon which was better suited to a self propelled role. Issued to infantry gun companies under regimental control.
